ITINERARY:
Day One ~ Arrival in Vancouver
Upon arrival in Vancouver, transfer on your own to your overnight accommodation. The remainder of the evening is yours to relax or explore this beautiful ocean-side city. Overnight in Vancouver
Day Two ~ Vancouver Exploring
Today is completely free to explore Vancouver at your own pace and take in the city's top attractions. Overnight in Vancouver
Day Three and Four ~ 'Rocky Mountaineer' to Kamloops and Banff
Your day begins with an early morning taxi transfer to Vancouver's Pacific Central Station to board Rocky Mountaineer daylight train. Travel though the Pacific Coastal Mountains, Hell's Gate and onto Kamloops for the evening (breakfast and lunch onboard). Transfer to your hotel in Kamloops for your overnight stay. The next morning, transfer back to the Kamloops train station where you will reboard Rocky Mountaineer and continue on your journey to the Canadian Rockies (breakfast and lunch onboard). Travel through the South Thompson River area, Kicking Horse Pass and Spiral Tunnels before arriving into Banff. Overnight in Kamloops and Banff
Day Five ~ Banff
Today Discover Banff on a 4 hour morning excursion, visit Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, Tunnel Mountain, soar above the clouds on the Banff Gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. Then take in even more sights as you cruise along Lake Minnewanka. The remainder of the day is yours to continue exploring Banff. Overnight in Banff
Day Six ~ Banff to Columbia Icefield
Venture along one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway, highlighted by frequent wildlife sightings, glacier-fed lakes, waterfalls, glaciers around every corner. Then, take a ride on an Ice Explorer and walk out onto the mighty Athabasca Glacier. Return to Banff by late afternoon. Overnight in Banff
Day Seven ~ Banff to Calgary
Conclude your vacation with a transfer to the Calgary International Airport
