Day One ~ Arrival in Calgary

Upon arrival at the Calgary International Airport, pick up your rental car (included) and proceed to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore Calgary at your leisure. Overnight in Calgary.

Day Two ~ Calgary to Banff

This morning, spend some time at Heritage Park in southern Calgary, then take a ride to the summit of the Calgary Tower downtown. A short drive takes you from the prairies into Banff National Park, located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Take the rest of the afternoon to explore the town and park on your own. Try canoeing, biking, or a horse-drawn carriage ride. Overnight in Banff.

Day Three ~ Exploring Banff

Another full day to see the sights of the Rockies. Do save some time this evening though - you will have a trailride by horseback with an authentic steakfry along the trail this evening. Overnight in Banff.

Day Four ~ Banff to Jasper

Drive north along the beautiful Icefields Parkway through the "Heart of the Canadian Rockies." You will see pristine lakes and rivers, vast forests, mountain peaks, ice-blue glaciers and icefield expanses. One of the numerous highlights of this day is a ride onto the Athabasca Glacier on board a specially designed Brewster Ice Explorer. Be sure to leave time to walk through the Parks Canada's interpretive centre where one learns about the geology, history and geography of this amazing region. Overnight in Jasper.

Day Five ~ Jasper to Edmonton

This morning is yours explore Jasper National Park. Some options are a boat cruise on Maligne Lake, raft tour on the Athabasca River or a walk along Maligne Canyon. Later today, it is a 5 hour drive to Edmonton, where your evening includes a visit to the famed West Edmonton Mall, the world's largest enclosed shopping and entertainment complex. Overnight in Edmonton.

Day Six ~ Exploring Edmonton

Edmonton is your playground today! Included is admission to the Galaxyland Amusement Park at the West Edmonton Mall. You will also have plenty of time to see the Provincial Museum of Alberta, Fort Edmonton and the Muttart Conservatory on your own. Overnight in Edmonton.

Day Seven ~ Dinosaur Discovery (Drumheller)

Travel to Drumheller in the Badlands of Alberta where you will explore the fascinating Royal Tyrrell Museum. This famous facility houses more than 30 complete dinosaurs, the largest exhibition in the world. In the afternoon, you may wish to join a two-hour excursion (July - August only) to an actual dig site where you can view paleontologists at work on an excavation of a dinosaur bone bed. Overnight in Drumheller.

Day Eight ~ Departing Drumheller

Your tour concludes today with a short drive back to the city of Calgary and a drop off of your rental car.
