ITINERARY:
Day One ~ Arrival in Calgary
Upon arrival into Calgary, pick up your rental car (not included), and drive to your downtown hotel. Admission to the Calgary Tower is included, offering a bird's eye view of the prairies, cityscapes and Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Calgary.
Day Two ~ Calgary to Lake Louise
Spend a leisurely morning exploring Calgary. In the afternoon, drive west through rolling foothills to the awesome peaks of the Canadian Rockies. You will soon enter Banff National Park and the picture-postcard setting of Lake Louise. Overnight in Lake Louise.
Day Three ~ Exploring Lake Louise
There is plenty to see and do today - walk or hike the trails of Lake Louise and the nearby Moraine Lake. Set amidst the Valley of the Ten Peaks, Moraine Lake is sure to create long lasting memories of vivid blue waters reflecting high reaching mountain edges. Enjoy an optional canoe excursion or explore nearby Emerald Lake and Yoho National Park with its spectacular Takakkaw Falls. Overnight in Lake Louise.
Day Four ~ Lake Louise to Jasper
Today you will drive north along the majestic Icefields Parkway into Jasper National Park. This scenic route travels through the "Heart of the Rockies" and provides spectacular views of crystal lakes, towering mountain peaks, peaceful meadows and forested valleys. Included today is a ride onto the Athabasca Glacier on board a specially designed Brewster Ice Explorer as well as a 25 minute helicopter ride to the Wilson Icefield (departs from Cline River enroute to the Columbia Icefield). Your exciting day concludes in Jasper. Overnight in Jasper.
Day Five ~ Exploring Jasper
The morning is free to explore Jasper on your own then enjoy a relaxing float trip down the mighty Athabasca River. Overnight in Jasper.
Day Six ~ Jasper to Banff
Retracing your route along the Icefields Parkway, you will have a second chance to enjoy many of the sights along this stunning drive. Be sure to stop at the Crowfoot Glacier, Peyto Lake and Bow Lake. Overnight in Banff.
Day Seven ~ Exploring Banff
A ride on the Banff Gondola takes you to the top of Sulphur Mountain for panoramic 360-degree views of the Canadian Rockies. Also included is admission to the historic Whyte Museum. Overnight in Banff.
Day Eight ~ Tour Concludes in Calgary
Your tour draws to a close as you make the two hour drive back to the Calgary International Airport to drop off your vehicle and to board your flight home.
