ITINERARY:
Day One ~ Arrive in Halifax
Pick up your rental car (not included) and drive to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to explore this historic port city. Your package includes admission to Pier 21. Overnight in Halifax.
Day Two ~ Explore Halifax
Start the day with a whale watching cruise in search of of Minke Whales, Pilot Whales, and Fin Whales. Later in the day take a guided tour of the historic Alexander Keith's Brewery. Overnight in Halifax.
Day Three ~ Halifax to Charlottetown
Today's itinerary is comprised of a scenic drive across Nova Scotia and a ferry ride (fare not included) to Canada's smallest province, Prince Edward Island. Overnight in Charlottetown.
Day Four ~ Explore Prince Edward Island
A short drive to the town of Murray River starts your day before you embark on a 2 hour seal watching excursion. The tour includes a 99% chance of seeing Harbor and Grey Seals in the wild, as well as many native Sea Birds and occasionally dolphins. The rest of the day is yours to explore the beaches of PEI on your own. Overnight in Charlottetown.
Day Five ~ Charlottetown to St. Andrews
The Bay of Fundy is the highlight of today's drive from Charlottetown to St. Andrews, located in the 3rd maritime province of New Brunswick. You'll start by crossing over Confederation Bridge to the mainland, passing Moncton and driving along the coast. Be sure to stop at the Hopewell Rocks, which are all but submerged at high tide but completely exposed when the tide is out. Overnight in St. Andrews.
Day Six ~ Exploring St. Andrews
Visit the Kingsbrae Garden which was built on the grounds of several grand old estates. Meander through the walking paths and marvel at the collection of over 45,000 flowers, shurbs and trees. The rest of the day is yours to explore. Overnight in St. Andrews.
Day Seven ~ St. Andrews to Halifax
Cross over the Bay of Fundy on the ferry (fare not included) from Saint John to Digby and return to Halifax via the Lighthouse Route. Overnight in Halifax.
Day Eight ~ Depart Halifax
Conclude your Maritime adventure with a check out from your hotel.
