Each fall one of the world's most fascinating wildlife events occurs in Churchill, Manitoba. Scores of magnificent polar bears congregate along the shores of Hudson Bay waiting for the winter freeze so they can begin the annual seal hunt. From Churchill, you will view and photograph Polar Bears from the specially designed Tundra Buggy from which you will explore the tundra for two days. (Tundra Buggies are heated and equipped with washroom facilities.) Other highlights of this trip include a guided tour of the points of interest surrounding Churchill, a visit to the Eskimo Museum, and presentation at the Parks Canada facility that highlights the history and culture of the area. Programs include a dog sledding demonstration and slide presentation.

ITINERARY:
Day One & Two ~ VIA Rail to Churchill
Evening Winnipeg departure by train. On day 1 and 2 you will travel aboard VIA Rail's "Hudson Bay" train travelling northbound towards Churchill. This journey stretches over 2 nights, and you will be provided with comfortable sleeping accommodation aboard the train.
Days Three ~ Arrival into Churchill
You will arrive into Churchill early in the morning. You will be met by a guide for a town & area tour, a visit to the Eskimo Museum and a transfer to your Churchill hotel your first overnight stay.
Day Four ~ Exploring Churchill
Spend the day in a Tundra Buggy to view the spectacular polar bears in their own habitat. You will enjoy an included lunch on the tour and this evening's dinner is included with your group.
Day Five ~ Exploring Churchill
Start your morning off with a cultural arts program and an afternoon visit to the Parks Canada Interpretive Center. Afterwards, enjoy a fun-filled dogsledding excursion hosted by a local resident and dog-sledding expert.
DAY 6 - Churchill to Winnipeg
Spend your final day in Churchill once again viewing Polar Bears and other arctic wildlife aboard the specialized Tundra Buggy. Your flight back to Winnipeg departs late this evening. Overnight in Winnipeg.
Day Seven ~ Departing Winnipeg
Today you will take your return flight to either Vancouver or Toronto.
