Day One ~ Arriving in Vancouver

Upon arrival in the west coast city of Vancouver transfer via taxi to your hotel. Admission today is included to the Vancouver Lookout Tower for a beautiful view of the cityscapes and ocean.

Day Two and Three ~ 'Rocky Mountaineer' to Kamloops and Banff

Your day begins with an early morning taxi transfer (included) to Vancouver's Pacific Central Station to board Rocky Mountaineer daylight train. Travel though the Pacific Coastal Mountains, Hell's Gate and onto Kamloops for the evening. (Breakfast and lunch onboard). Transfer (included) to your hotel in Kamloops for dinner (included) and an overnight stay. The next morning, transfer (included) back to the Kamloops train station where you will reboard Rocky Mountaineer and continue on your journey to the Canadian Rockies (breakfast and lunch onboard). Travel through the South Thompson River area, Kicking Horse Pass and Spiral Tunnels before arriving into Banff. Transfer (included) to your hotel upon arrival.

Day Four ~ Banff to the Columbia Icefield

Today's round trip tour to the Columbia Icefield includes stops at the Crowfoot Glacier, Peyto Lake and Columbia Icefield. Time will be allowed at the Columbia Icefield for a Brewster Ice Explorer excursion onto Athabasca Glacier and lunch (not included). You will have several photo opportunities during the day before you are dropped off at the Saskatchewan River Crossing at 3:30 pm, where you will leave the tour and be picked up in a sedan or van by Icefield Helicopter Tours. A half hour transfer takes you to Cline River for your 20 minute helicopter ride and allows time to browse the gift shop and take some photos. The Icefield Helicopter company will transfer you back to Banff where you will arrive at approximately 7:00 pm.

Day Five ~ Exploring Banff

Your morning excursion guides you through the town of Banff and its attractions. You'll ascend Tunnel Mountain Drive to view the town of Banff and the Hoodoo viewpoint. Visit the scenic Bow Falls followed by an opportunity to ride the Banff to the top of Sulphur Mountain for unforgettable panoramic views. After your trip, Afternoon Tea awaits you at the Banff Springs Hotel - known by most as the "castle in the Rockies." At the end of the day, you will be transferred to Calgary via motorcoach - and dropped off at your downtown hotel.

Day Six ~ Departing Calgary

After a morning check-out from your hotel, you will have the remainder of the day to explore the city. Make your way to the Calgary Tower to experience an unforgettable 360 degree view of the city and foothills. If the weather is fair, you will be able to see the towering Rocky Mountains on the horizon. This ends your Spectacular Highlights of the Rockies.
