ITINERARY:
Day One ~ Arrival in Victoria
Upon arrival at the Victoria Airport, you will be transferred via a taxi to your chosen downtown Victoria hotel. Overnight in Victoria.
Day Two ~ Exploring Victoria
The pace of living in Victoria is a bit slower than an average city and todays itinerary reflects that. A 30 minute carriage ride by the sea is an ideal introduction to the city and the renowned Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont Empress is a "must-do" for all visitors. Overnight in Victoria.
Day Three ~ Tour Victoria to Vancouver
The morning is free to do some more optional sightseeing around the city or on a whale watching excursion, before taking an afternoon tour to Vancouver. A stop is made at Butchart Gardens en route, before re-boarding BC Ferries for the return trip to Vancouver. Overnight in Vancouver.
Day Four ~ Exploring Vancouver
A trolley tour is your ticket to seeing the highlights of Vancouver today! This hop on/hop off tour makes a 2 hour loop with full commentary all day long and has departures from 23 different stops every half hour, so where and when you stop is up to you. Also, not to be missed are is the Vancouver Aquarium located in the wilderness of Stanley Park. Overnight in Vancouver
Day Five ~ Rail from Vancouver to Kamloops
All aboard Rocky Mountaineer's RedlLeaf service on the spectacular Journey Through the Clouds route! This daylight only train tour includes breakfast and lunch served at your seat, full commentary and attentive onboard service throughout the day. Overnight in Kamloops.
Day Six ~ Rail from Kamloops to Jasper
Another full day is spent onboard the Rocky Mountaineer in RedLeaf service. The tour today takes you into the Rocky Mountains and past Mount Robson, a highlight of the trip. Breakfast and lunch are again served at your seat. Arrival into the quaint railway town of Jasper is in the evening. Overnight in Jasper.
Day Seven ~ Exploring Jasper
After a free morning to explore the town of Jasper on your own, take a relaxing float trip on large raft down the Athabasca River for a different perspective. The scenery is breathtaking and you may even see wildlife! This trip is gentle enough for all ages to enjoy, including young children. Overnight in Jasper.
Day Eight ~ Tour from Jasper to Banff
Today will truly be one of the most memorable days of your vacation as you journey south down the Icefields Parkway from Jasper National Park to Banff National Park. Almost 100 glaciers are visible from the highway and you'll be touring on the most accessible one, the Athabasca Glacier. A short stop at Lake Louise is also included today. Overnight in Banff.
Day Nine ~ Exploring Banff
A morning tour of the town of Banff explores the history and scenic highlights of the area. Stop at the Cave & Basin National Historic Site to see the original hot springs that are the reason that it was declared a national park. Travel along Tunnel Mountain Drive to see the wind-carved Hoodoos and take a ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. Overnight in Banff.
Day Ten ~ Transfer from Banff to Calgary
A 2 hour scheduled service transfer takes you to the Calgary International Airport or downtown to end your tour.
