ITINERARY:
Day 1 ~ Victoria, Vancouver or Nanaimo to Tofino
Pick up your rental car today and travel along the coastline of the Strait of Georgia, followed by a drive through the beautiful exterior of Vancouver Island. Along the way you will experience the beautiful scenery that Western Canada is so famous for. Continue to northward to the ocean-side town of Tofino, just on the edge of Pacific Rim National Park. Upon arrival, check into your Tofino hotel.
Day 2 ~ Exploring Tofino
Today is for you to explore Tofino at your leisure. Use this time to enjoy the ocean setting by visiting one of the many beaches or hop on a cruise to go whale watching. Tofino is filled with fun activities for all ages. There are many guided walks and hiking trails for the more active travelers, or lots of spas and beaches for those that want a more relaxing vacation. This afternoon, get ready to experience one of Tofino’s famous Whale-Watching tours. Travel through Clayoquot Sound in an inflatable Zodiac boat, where you may have the chance to view seabirds, sealions, harbour seals and Gray Whales. At the end of the day, transfer on your own back to your hotel.
Day 3 ~ Touring Tofino
Start the morning off today with a sightseeing tour of Hot Springs Cove. Jamie's takes you to these relaxing pools by way of the "Sharp Point", on a 35 foot cabin cruiser, with indoor and outdoor viewing decks. Allowing about 1.25 hours to reach the docks, you'll pass the feeding bays of the gray whales en route and do some whale watching, weather and whales permitting. You can also trek the boardwalk through the ancient rainforests
Day 4 ~ Tofino to Victoria, Vancouver or Nanaimo
Begin your morning with a check out from your Tofino Hotel and then travel once again across the east coast of Vancouver Island. You may choose to drop off your vehicle in Victoria or Nanaimo or and take a scenic 90 minute ferry ride (not included) to the mainland to drop off your car in Vancouver, to conclude your vacation.
