Snow Train - Vancouver to Toronto

Travel across Canada, wind through the Rockies, and explore cosmopolitan cities on this winter journey that takes you through five provinces.

Tour Description

Experience the best of the Canadian wilderness in winter and discover spectacular scenery as well as vibrant Canadian cities. Winter is an ideal time to travel as the rates are lower, the trains are less crowded, and the staff has more time to share their "tales of the rails" with you. Be a part of this exciting adventure onboard VIA Rail's Canadian train as you hear the "call of the wild."

This tour takes you through five of Canada's provinces, as you travel east from the oceanside city of Vancouver where you have time to explore and spend one night in this town. Then the heart of your journey begins as you settle into your train for a four-night trek through the amazing scenery of Canada in winter. Enjoy views of the snow-capped Canadian Rockies, as you twist and turn along parts of the landscape you can only reach via rail. The domed skyline car gives you great views of the passing scenery as you enjoy the landscape and search for wildlife.

As you bid goodbye to the Rockies, you'll approach the country's largest city, Toronto. You have two days to explore Toronto, taking advantage of your included Hop-on Hop-off sightseeing tour.
