Perhaps you will embark on a two-hour horseback tour where you’ll see panoramic views of the valley from the Bow River and Sulphur Mountain. Overnight in Banff.
Day 4 - Banff to Jasper
On day four, you’ll depart on a three-and-a-half-hour drive along Icefields Parkway, known as one of the most scenic routes in the world! As you travel from Banff to Jasper, take it slow and admire the amazing views as you drive through towering mountains and past sparkling lakes. Make sure to plan a few stops along the way! We recommend stopping at Lake Louise for a walk around the lakeside trail and an afternoon picnic. You won’t regret stopping for a visit to Maligne Canyon to see the majestic waterfalls, and Jasper National Park also makes a great stop before entering the resort town. The true adventurers will enjoy an optional excursion to Columbia Icefield, home to the largest masses of ice south of the arctic circle. This adventure includes a unique opportunity to venture directly onto the Athabasca glacier for a guided tour in a specially-designed Ice Explorer! Return to the road for the final stretch toward your destination and use the remainder of the day to explore Jasper or relax at the hotel. Overnight in Jasper.
Day 5 - Jasper to Sun Peaks
When you awake on day five, take the morning to shop and dine in Jasper before departing for Sun Peaks. The trek is nearly five hours, but there’s never a dull moment as you travel down Yellowhead Highway in the footsteps of early trappers and traders. You’ll pass by unforgettable sights like Mount Terry Fox as well as Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies. If time permits, we suggest exploring Wells Gray Provincial Park, a nature preserve that prides itself on the untamed and pristine state of its wilderness. Continue on to Sun Peaks, a year-round resort town catering to families and sports enthusiasts. Arrive early to allow time for an optional one-hour river safari aboard a specially designed jet boat! This exciting adventure takes you along 12 km of the North Thompson River through the spectacular Grizzly Bear Valley. An expert guide will accompany this wildlife viewing tour and provide colorful commentary along the way. While black bears, grizzly bears and moose are commonly spotted, you are sure to see mountain waterfalls and a clear glacier-fed lake. Overnight in Sun Peaks.
Day 6 - Sun Peaks to Vancouver
Day six is packed with more beautiful scenery as you travel from Sun Peaks to Vancouver. As you leave Sun Peaks through Kamloops, you’ll traverse the stunning sagebrush-covered ranch lands along the South Thompson River, where vast herds of cattle and cowboys on horseback are common sights. Entering between the towering rock walls of the Fraser Canyon, you’ll be amazed at the whitewater rapids of the Fraser River gushing far below. Over 750,000 liters of water surge through the 34-metre Hell’s Gate Gorge every minute and a gondola ride over this part of the canyon is sure to become a lasting memory. Further downstream, the lush Fraser Valley opens up into the maritime basin as you approach Vancouver, Canada’s gateway to the pacific. Overnight in Vancouver.
Day 7 - Vancouver at Leisure
Day seven is yours to explore the excitement of Vancouver! Climb aboard an old fashioned trolley for a guided hop-on/hop-off tour of the city.
