Wildlife can often be seen from the road, emerging from the deep green of the forests as they graze the grasses and investigate visitors to one of Canada's best-known parks. Arrive in Banff and perhaps take some time to browse the main street and its boutique shoppes. Overnight in Banff.

Day 4 - Banff Area Hike
There is no better way to appreciate the treasures of the park than on a guided hike led by an experienced local guide who will take you to classic locations in the Banff and Lake Louise area. Day 5 - Banff To Lake Louise Sightseeing
Discover the beauty of Banff and Yoho National Parks on a full-day sightseeing transfer from Banff to Lake Louise. The tour makes its first stop at Johnston Canyon where there is sufficient time to take a short nature walk to the lower falls. The next destination is Moraine Lake and its spectacular shoreline. Day 6 - Lake Louise
Departing from the hotel grounds, today you embark on a choice of one of three guided hikes: A 7km guided hike to Lake Agnes and the rustic teahouse at the end of the journey. As one of Alberta's most popular trails, hikers are treated to a mixture of old-growth forest and clearings leading to a spectacular view of Lake Louise. Another option is a 6.4km hike to the Consolation Lakes. After walking through a cool spruce/fir forest, the trail opens up into a lush meadow with vibrant wildflowers through most of summer. Once at the lake there is time to relax and soak in the views of the glacier capped peaks. The final option is the 7km-hike to Saddleback Pass, accessed by a moderate to steep inclined trail to the pass in the lee of Mount Fairview and Saddleback Peak. At the top is the hidden 'Guides View Point' where the group stops for a snack and spectacular views. Overnight in Lake Louise.

Day 7 - Lake Louise to Jasper Sightseeing
Travel from Lake Louise to Jasper on a full-day coach sightseeing trip with plenty of opportunities for mountain wildlife viewing and visits to scenic viewpoints. At the Columbia Icefield, enjoy a 90-minute glacier adventure on a unique Ice Explorer. While at the Icefields, take a shuttle to the Glacier SkyWalk - a glass-floored platform extends 30m out over the Sunwapta Canyon. Stroll along the Discovery Trail that leads to and from the viewpoint. Experience waterfalls, wildlife, fossils and more on an existing cliffedge walkway that leads to a platform where glass is all that separates visitors from a 277m chasm. Arrive late in the afternoon in Jasper. Lunch included. Overnight in Jasper. (L)

Day 8 - Jasper SkyTram & Summit Trail
Today's adventure will take you on the longest and highest guided aerial tramway in Canada and the only guided aerial rope-way in the Canadian Rockies. Experience unprecedented views of six mountain ranges, glacial fed lakes, the Athabasca River, and the town of Jasper. Marvel in the beauty of the surrounding landscape from the boardwalks before venturing out on a self-guided hike of the Summit Trail to explore the unique alpine plants and wildlife at the peak of Whistlers Mountain. You may choose to unwind and refuel after your hike by enjoying lunch at the Summit Restaurant, before heading back to the Jasper town-site. Overnight in Jasper.
