Enjoy a vacation in Waterton Lakes National Park in southwestern Alberta, Canada. Settle into your base camp, known as “Teepee Town,” located on private land. This rustic wilderness camp includes private accommodations for individuals, families, and friends, in walled tents and canvas teepees, complete with raised cots and mattresses. Hot home-cooked meals are served in a large kitchen/dining tent, and there's plenty of hot water, wash basins, a hot outdoor shower, and dry toilets.
Once settled into camp, and after an orientation warm-up ride, you'll have four full days of relaxing trail rides to explore the beautiful surroundings. Each day's ride is customized based on weather, trail, and wildlife conditions, ensuring each trip is its own unique adventure. You have a trail guide and emcee to lead the way and educate you about your surroundings. You'll wind through quiet, lush lands with the snow-capped Rockies as your backdrop. The rides also leave you plenty of time to disembark from your horse and explore the area on foot.
After you wrap up your time at Waterton Lakes National Park, spend one more night in Calgary before you begin the next leg of your trip in Banff. A guided bus tour takes you through the Rockies for a chance to explore the area's unique rock formations. Then enjoy a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for incredible panoramic views of this picturesque landscape. There's also time for you to enjoy Banff on your own before you take part in a cowboy cookout and trail ride to wrap up this western adventure.
