Begin in the historic town of Calgary before heading to Beautiful Banff for a two-night stay. This winter-lover’s paradise is home to endless wintertime activities and a guided tour ensures you won’t miss out on any of the area’s famed sites. Your journey continues to Jasper National Park, where your sightseeing includes an ice walk through Maligne Canyon to see the icy river bed and frozen waterfalls. From Jasper, embark on a luxurious overnight stay aboard VIA Rail's Canadian for the journey west to Vancouver. In the seaside city, join your scenic transfer to the mountain resort town of Whistler for two full days of relaxation including a rejuvenating spa day. Your winter rail vacation comes to an end with a transfer to Vancouver's international airport.

Day 1 - Welcome to the Canadian Rockies
Arrive in Calgary and transfer from the airport to nearby Banff, Canada's first National Park and a destination known for its amazing mountain views, natural hot springs, and abundance of winter activities. After you check into the hotel, the day is yours to begin exploring. Browse local galleries and museums, indulge in upscale shopping and restaurants, or pay a visit to the mineral rich Banff Upper Hot Springs that made the area famous. Overnight in Banff.

Day 2 - Discover Banff
On day two, enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Banff. You’ll see the area's important landmarks, hear the history of the Bow Valley, and view wildlife in their natural habitat as you learn about their behavior and winter survival adaptations. The afternoon is yours to shop in downtown Banff or enjoy some of the area's winter activities like skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, or hiking through Banff National Park. Day 3 - En-Route to Jasper
Embark on a scenic transfer to neighboring Jasper, one of Canada's most photographed National Park's. Upon arrival, check into your hotel with the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight Jasper..

Day 4 - Maligne Canyon Ice Walk
Day four’s sightseeing adventure takes you into the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park - Maligne Canyon. Tourists travel from near and far every year to see the canyon’s majestic frozen waterfalls including the most famous, the Queen of Maligne and Angel Icefalls. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 5 - VIA Rail to Vancouver
Enjoy a leisurely morning sleeping in, shopping for souvenirs, and enjoying the fresh winter air before boarding the Canadian for the overnight journey west to Vancouver. Enjoy the passing scenery from the Lounge and Observation cars and chat with fellow travelers from around the world. Enjoy a delicious dinner in the Dining Car as the train passes by breathtaking forest scenery and sparkling icy lakes. In the evening, retreat to your private quarters for some much needed R&R. Day 6 - Arrive Vancouver
The train is scheduled to arrive Vancouver, Canada's third largest city, this morning. Transfer by taxi (included) to your centrally-located hotel and spend the day exploring this coastal city. Must-see attractions include Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium, English Bay Beach, Granville Island, Chinatown, the UBC Museum of Anthropology, and the Robson Street shopping district. Stroll the cobbled streets of Gastown, view some of the Olympic sites, and dine in one of the city's amazing restaurants this evening. Overnight in Vancouver.

Days 7 & 8 - Whistler at Leisure
On day seven, transfer by coach to the nearby mountain resort town of Whistler, where you’ll spend the next two days exploring this winter wonderland at your leisure. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and begin to explore. Stroll through the village, browse unique shops, visit the museums and trails, and have dinner in a local restaurant. On day eight, take advantage of the area’s abundance of winter activities like skiing, snowboarding, and bobsledding, or take a ride on the Peak to Peak Gondola. The truly adventurous may wish to embark on a short helicopter excursion high above the resort town for aerial views of Whistler/Blackcomb resort. Overnight in Whistler.

Day 9 - Spa Day
On day nine, awaken all of your senses with a visit to the Scandinave Spa in Whistler. Scandinavian baths and hydrotherapy are recognized for their energizing and relaxing effects that reinvigorate the mind and body. Your spa pass provides access to body warming rooms, rinsing stations and relaxation areas. In the evening, treat yourself to an elegant dinner as you take in the area's beautiful scenery for one last night. Overnight in Whistler.

Day 10 - Vancouver
On day ten, your winter escape comes to an end with a transfer from Whistler to the Vancouver Airport. Or, you may choose to extend your stay in Whistler on your own (and we wouldn’t blame you!).
