Snow-capped historic buildings, twinkling lights and holiday decor down every street make these cities magical during the Holiday season, and this tour is the perfect opportunity to see all they have to offer. The adventure begins in Montréal, where you’ll spend two full days exploring the city. Known as the Cultural Capital of Canada, Montréal is an interesting mix of old and new; a cosmopolitan city with chic shopping, exciting nightlife, and exquisite restaurants that cater to every taste. Explore the city’s rich history with a guided sightseeing tour to more than 200 legendary sites. Highlights of the tour include the gorgeous Notre Dame Basilica, the famous Olympic Complex and a stunning view on top of Mont Royal. Following Montréal, you’ll travel by VIA Rail train along the St. Lawrence River to Québec City where you will spend three days admiring its 17th century architecture and uncovering its rich history. A second guided tour will escort you to many of the city’s famed sites like the Latin Quarter, the Place Royale and the Basilica. In your free time, visit the quaint shops and enjoy excellent cuisine in the city’s bustling downtown. Québec's proud heritage and European flair will make you forget you're even in Canada!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Bienvenue Montréal 
Welcome to Montréal! Canada's Cultural Capital is bursting with historical architecture, impressive landmarks, fashionable shops, gastronomic delights, and endless entertainment options. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the day exploring the city. You might choose to browse the street markets, full of delicious treats and unique vendors, or tour the fine art museums. Overnight in Montréal.

Day 2 - Montréal Sightseeing
On day two, embark on your Montréal sightseeing tour to more than 200 points of interest throughout the city. Highlights include Notre Dame Basilica, historic Old Montréal, the Olympic Complex, McGill University, and a breathtaking view from the top of Mont Royal. Spend the remainder of the day exploring Montréal's colorful neighborhoods and outstanding culinary scene at your own pace. Overnight in Montréal.

Day 3 - Montréal to Québec City
After breakfast, bid adieu to Montréal and prepare to say bonjour to Québec City! You’ll board the VIA Rail train for a leisurely 3-hour journey along the St. Lawrence River to this charming city steeped in history. After settling into your centrally-located hotel, spend the remainder of the day getting acquainted with the city on your own. Stroll the cobblestone streets, visit the unique shops, delight in the city's sidewalk cafes, or spend a few hours admiring the natural beauty of Montmorency Falls Park. Overnight in Québec City.

Day 4 - Québec City Sightseeing
On day four, you’ll embark on a sightseeing tour of  Québec City. You'll see both the historic and modern sides of this enchanting city during visits to the Latin Quarter, the Plains of Abraham, the Citadel, the Fortifications, the National Assembly, Place Royale, and the Basilica among many other points of interest. Spend the remainder of the day exploring more of Québec City at your leisure. Overnight in Québec City.

Day 5 - Québec City Sightseeing
Make lasting memories of your time in Québec City during this full day at your leisure. Visit Parliament Hill with its impressive Parliament Building and the Fontaine de Tourny, the Beaupre Coast, or Île d'Orleans. Indulge in a spa day, or go on a brewery tour. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, collect souvenirs as you walk through the unique shops, and delight in an amazing meal from the city’s culturally diverse food and beverage scene. Overnight in Québec City.

Day 6 - Québec City
Sadly, your French Canadian vacation must end on day six. You may choose to extend your stay in Québec City, visit another nearby town, or transfer on your own to the airport for your trip home.
